Department of ENERGY SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

Energy systems engineering is the engineering`s field which is wrought from composition of mechanical engineering, chemical engineering and electrical engineering. ESE oversees complex energy conversion and distribution systems, work to improve energy storage systems, and manage the efficient use of energy in building, manufacturing, and processing systems. ESE`s professionals also study the secondary effects of energy usage from a local environmental impact, regional and national economic impact, and global climate change perspective.

ESE cleaves to three minors at MSc course:

Energy technologies

Energy systems

Energy and environment

Right now, in the school of New Technologies we amid students in Energy and Environment minor at MSc course. In this course, students learn how to design high performance energy systems with regard to environmental impact analysis (EIA). In this minor mechanical and chemical analysis is so important to achieve optimum designing.

Some of the important courses in ESE:

Analyzing of energy systems III

Advanced Mathematical planning

Process engineering

Reliability and Risk Analysis

Advanced Fluid mechanics

Advanced Thermodynamics

Environmental impacts of energy

Fundamental of economy

What do Energy Systems engineers do?

Energy systems engineers pursue a variety of jobs and occupations. For example, they might be hired to do any of the following:

v Manage operation of renewable energy systems such as: wind turbine farms, solar systems, biofuels and biomass systems, hydro-electric power systems, fuel-cell technologies and non-renewable energy systems such as: any energy systems that works by fossil fuels

v Evaluate the economic viability of all energy systems

v Assess the environmental impact of alternative energy systems
